i am also experiencing a regression on current karmic alpha with a
pcmcia card labeled "OPTION - QUALCOMM 3G CDMA".

i've used the card successfully on 9.04 with network manager. now when i
insert the card, i don't see the option for mobile connections in
network manager at all.
