Hi Leann - thanks for your response! I have no clue whether the problem is still there - since I didn't understand what the problem was about to start with. I'm pretty ignorant about the technical details. For example, I can't even tell you which version I'm on right now (beyond Kernel Linux 2.6.28-15-generic, courtesy System Monitor). How can I find out the correct version number - and how should I go about updating it to 2.6.28-15.49? TIA
