Public bug reported: Bug in Jaunty:
When I try to set my ieee1394 preferences in kino, I find that I am unable to do so because /dev/raw1394 has the wrong ownership. It is root:root instead of, say, root:video. This means that I have to change it myself, and I have to do it each time because I can't remember how to make the change permanent. What should happen: The end user shouldn't have to think about permissions at all except perhaps (at a stretch) for choosing, via the GUI, to be part of the video group. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- default ownership of /dev/raw1394 is root:root rather than, say, root:video https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/421551 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
