I have the same problem, both on my laptop and on my PC. I don't know what the '-d flag' is, but I do not think I am using it. I am using a fairly regular install of Edgy on both machines. Both machines have additional apt sources, primarily from lists on ubuntuguide.org. My PC also has Beryl installed, using nvidia, but my laptop does not.
That is as far as the customisations reach, that I can recall. Attached is my apt/sources.list for my PC, although I have only just now uncommented the following: #deb http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy free #deb http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy non-free #deb-src http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy free #deb-src http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ edgy non-free #deb http://theli.free.fr/packages/ edgy listen #deb http://easyubuntu.cafuego.net main easyubuntu The list of uninstallable updates on my PC is: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17-10-generic (Non-free Linux 2.6.17 modules on x86_64 generic, From version 2.6.17.6-2~amaranth to 2.6.17.7-10.1 (Size 7.0 MB)) beryl beryl-plugins beryl-settings emerald libemeraldengine0 Everything else about my problem is identical to Tim Francis - mine has been persisting for about two weeks I think. ** Attachment added: "apt sources list." http://librarian.launchpad.net/6253437/sources.list -- Update Manager could not calculate upgrade https://launchpad.net/bugs/80988 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
