Public bug reported:
To reproduce (tested with Kubuntu Feisty Herd 3 AMD64):
1) Boot from CD
2) When in boot loader menu, choose to Check CD for defects in boot loader
menu .
Result:
Black screen appears (no boot splash), then OS boots normally (no progress
though), then enters to graphical desktop as usually.No checking
Expected:
CD should be checked for defects when user chooses this menu item.
