** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: apport
-
- When I run apport-retrace --download-debug <crash file> it seems that
- apport wants to load -dbgsym packages, but afaict, debug packages are
- named -dbg.
-
- It would be nice to have this option during the initial apport pop-up so
- that I can see the stack trace for trying to decide which existing bug
- this may be.
-
- Use case would be pop-up the little dialog as per the status quo, but
- include a button to install -dbg packages and then regenerate the stack
- trace given the newly installed debugging symbols.
-
- And then, it would be nice if launchpad would auto-magically show a
- stack trace in the comment section for any attached apport report.
-
- Not asking for much am I? :-)
+ If apport-retrace is installed, the GUI should offer to retrace it
+ locally. This requires the downloading of a lot of dbgsym packages, but
+ some developers prefer that.

** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu)
