Problem confirmed on jaunty with a Lenovo Thinkpad SL500 . Colleagues of mine with the same notebooktype report the same issues. This problem appears often, but not always. Solution as offered by #7 komputes is reported as well in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/193125
