Original partition which caused the crash (in correct order on HD) - sda-1 free space (600KB or so) - sda1 EFI - sda2 OSX - sda4 swap - sda5 EXT4 Ubuntu - sda-1 free space (400KB or so) - sda3 FAT32 - sda-1 free space (600KB)
But after reorganizing (Reinstalled Ubuntu partitioned with GParted) the partitions it worked: - sda-1 free space (600KB or so) - sda1 EFI - sda2 OSX - sda3 EXT4 Ubuntu - sda4 swap - sda5 FAT32 - sda-1 free space (600KB) Now GRUB starts without a problem and Ubuntu runs. So maybe the partitioner should create the partitions in sequence on the ard drive. -- Karmic alpha 4 hangs at boot before GRUB with characters sequence https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423625 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
