Sorry for the delay - had a bit of sleep last night :)
I installed Alpha 5 and sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade and
the bug was gone!
After installing the virtualbox guest additions it did NOT return.
Everything's fine!
xterm is fine too.
