I have two computers running Ubuntu, one dapper and one edgy. On both installed noteedit with synaptic and found they differ by version. Dapper installed noteedit 2.8.0 and edgy noteedit 2.8.1. Differences as I found so far are printing behaviour and keyboard action. For printing with 8.2.1 you can configure noteedit (settings) to use lilypond. File/Print delivers a good pdf printout wich can be previewed and printed from kpdf. 2.8.0 however can deliver a pdf with lilypound but via settings/output params. tab lilypond format and selecting start export button below right in the window. To my surprice it delivered a pdf- as well as a ps-file, though it only will inform you about a .li file to be saved! kpdf will print your pdf-file. This will most probably solve your printing needs, but 2.8.1 is preferable. 2.8.0 on my ubuntu doesn't listen to the keyboard, so for instance I can't delete anything while editing!! I need 2.8.1 on my dapper but don't know how. attached a pdf file
