As I found out by more trying and searching, the problem that classes are 
claimed nonexistent are not because of the files missing, but a bug in pylint 
with the qt bindings for version >= 4.5. The autocompletion of pydev can be 
brought to work again as described e.g. in 
http://www.saltycrane.com/blog/2007/06/how-to-get-code-completion-for-pyqt/ .
I beg your pardon for the static and set the status of the bug to invalid.
