Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootFromUSB Version 9.04 The following is from the article with my possible corrections (####......####): ### This is a reminder that these modules have been added to allow a CD to boot a USB drive usbcore sd_mod ehci_hcd uhci_hcd ohci_hcd usb-storage ####I ran lsmod and it was usb_storage NOT usb-storage#### scsi_mod ALSO sudo mkinitramfs -o iso/boot/initrd.gz <kernelversion> ####I don't think that there should be a space between the ".gz" and <kernelversion>. It didn't work with the space. If my suggestions are wrong I appologize. I am just trying to get my computer to boot Ubuntu from a non bootable USB drive, unsuccessfully so far. ** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Boot From USB Possible Typo https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/425442 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
