The problem Robert described ought to be fixed by all improved
software-properties-kde (which should now invoke a cache update upon changed
sources.list).
However, I fail to see how the universe and multiverse stuff is in any
way related to s-p-k, it does not set the defaults, nor does it change
them unless the user utilizes it to do so. In addition to that the app
which exposed this issue is not part of Kubuntu >= 8.10 making me doubt
the importance of this particular report altogether.
