Thank for fixing up the typos. But this issue is at the gvfs level from
what I've determined. Here is the exact patch in the repository that is causing
all these issues:

It basically moves logic that was in HAL and now forcing all usb
storage devices to be ejected from the USB bus. It's mainly for iPod &
Kindle & is not needed for any other devices. Just causes regressions.
If you try the packages I compiled removing the patch the problem goes
away.
Also the user interface regression with Nautilus as this is
unexpected behavior from how Nautilus has behaved in the past.
