Neither the XP, nor the 9.04 installation showed up in the menu on an
Alpha 5 install. The machine simply booted automatically into 9.10
without pausing to ask.

The one quirk of my setup is that my 9.04 is installed on an ext4
partition. Other than that it is a vanilla Jaunty/XP system.

Updating packages naturally fixed the problem as it runs update-grub
and update initramfs so it may have been a flaw with the packages on
the Alpha 5 CD. Needs testing though.
