Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I saw some similar bugs, but much of them were reported for Jaunty and
for me it's Karmic specific.
Rhythmbox don't display covers through notify-osd when they don't fit a
square ratio.
Of course, the standard cover format is ok but (I know I'm strange) I
love having some home-made best-of albums with there home-made/ill-sized
covers.
Rhythmbox is the default music-manager for Ubuntu, I think it's a shame
that it is not even fully integrated with notify-osd.
Here is a screencast and 2 examples covers for you can reproduce it (I
stole them from Marco Müller in bug #360228)
