Hi,

This problem when restarting was noted only the first few times with
Ubuntu 8.10 on my laptop (AMD Turion Ultra x2 ZM 80, with 4 Gb RAM). It
solved for itself.

Now the laptop restarts Ok with Ubuntu 9.04, too.

However, this same problem it's yet appearing with Ubuntu 9.04 in my old
PC (AMD Athlon 1200, with 375 Mb RAM). When I exit from Ubuntu 9.04 on
the PC, it gets to the black screen and I have to push the restart
button to either to restart Ubuntu, Windows XP or to shut down the PC. I
don't remember whether I had this problem in the PC with the U8.04
version.

Otherwise, I've tested on 2 of my computers the latest development release of
Ubuntu on the link you provided me.
I've checked CD integrity, it's Ok.

On the old PC the latest development version of Ubuntu works nicely
(except that there is not any screen telling to press enter, just a
black screen. . I just pressed enter and it restarted).

But, on the laptop the latest development release of Ubuntu it does not
start totally. It tries and tries again when it arrives to the screen I
attach you.

So I think I can't give further terminal info.

Also, I don't know how to test the latest upstream kernel available.
