So problem is not a missing driver or PPD file but the printer not being
detected. Then it is a known problem. Please do a full update to get the
latest CUPS version.

usblp Kernel module needs to be removed and /dev/bus/usb/*/* made accessible
for USB printers to work with CUPS 1.4.x
