Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I am running Ubuntu 9.04 and have just started working with this version
for the first time. I am new to Linux and how you do stuff. I installed
rhythmbox 0.12.0 and everything seems to be working except I don't
actually get any sound coming from the sould card. I have tried every
plug in the back to connect with my earphones. When I boot in Windows
xp, the sound card works well and I get sound out of my earphones but
not when using rhythmbox in Ubuntu. I don't know enough about reporting
bugs yet and the procedures you use to do that so please give me very
specific and detailed instructions on reporting a bug and what I do to
get things working properly
