There are other fixes and patches (also from the minimyth maintainer) described
on the mythtv mailing list.
You are welcome to investigate and integrate these yourself, but they won't be
distributed officially via Mythbuntu.
Closing (would close as WONTFIX, but that isn't an option in the pulldown for
me).
