As for your settings, I really don't know how you could have gotten this
to work properly, I've tested it on multiple occasions, multiple
machines and multiple versions of OOo.

Is your locale settings set to EN or TE? I think that could be a big
difference as it is the only thing that is consistent in my
"experimenting". If this is the case then it is definitely still a bug
as it's rendering the font incorrectly when the locale is set to EN and
I am only switching to TE using SCIM.
