I tried different manner but none of them reproduce your behaviour. 
Thanks for the tips and tricks anyway :)
I didn't give up with my tests as I really like this little Amilo 
machine and use it everyday to code web site. So I ended up with a Lenny 
Debian 5 installation to go back to the roots and see what happen. Good 
news:  as you may guess, all is working perfectly !
I hope this feedback will help to diff somewhere the differences between 
Debian Lenny and Jaunty. My kernel is 2.6.26-2.
Or, if someone can tell me where to look at I will be more than happy to 
help.
