With the new ubuntu jaunty server no changes, with the fc8 server openoffice refuses to open a .odt server document, it hangs, so it got even worse. Monday I will fix nfs ports and firewall the ubuntu server, and will recheck on both a machine with ppa and one without. Have a nice weekend.
