I can't reproduce this issue in karmic. I have the same sound card as
Leann but on a different machine (Subsystem) and with a different codec.
00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio
Controller [8086:284b] (rev 02)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device [8086:2501]
Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel
Codec: SigmaTel STAC9271D
Those of you who experience this issue but have not yet posted their codec,
please run the following command and report the output:
$ cat /proc/asound/card*/codec* | grep Codec
--
[karmic] No sound on Intel 82801H HD Audio
