Stefan, the main reason for the request is "to allow the new packages in
the moblin remix spin into Ubuntu karmic, in universe". On the base of
Scott's +1 I had started requesting some syncs already: libccss,
bickley, twitter-glib, mojito, syncevolution.

There are currently 62 packages in the ~moblin karmic PPA; what I wanted
to get an ack on here is about moving the ~27 new packages listed on the
wiki page which make the core of Moblin UI / infrastructure into
universe. I believe this is reasonably safe as they are entirely new
packages, but because we're past FF I thought it required a FFE, hence
the bug. There's also the meta package.

The reason of your confusion is probably that I also shared the general
plan (to provide some context) which includes merging as much delta from
the forked packages as possible, but this has to be evaluated on a case
by case basis. For instance there are some trivial changes like
changing OnlyShowIn=GNOME to OnlyShowIn=GNOME,Moblin in a couple
.desktop files, and at the other end of the scale there are very
intrusive changes like UI changes which certainly wont be merged in
karmic. So this bug is not about getting approval about merging any
change in this PPA into karmic.

I think "TODO" on the wiki page was only about uploading the packages to
karmic; the packages are all ready in Debian or in tha PPA. The wiki
page is however out of date with the round of syncs we did last week.

Stefan, I hope this clarifies and resolves your concerns?
