Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 9.10 alpha firefox 3.5.3
Using firefox 3.5.2 and firefox 3.5.3 extensions no longer update.
I thought it was a corrupt profile since I upgraded form 9.04 ...
I deleted my profile and made a new one, seemed to work in tha tI re-
installed all my extensions.
The problem then recurs with the extension Tab Kit (most recent to
update).
The update downloads and appears to install (when you use the "Find
updates" button). As of yet Tab Plus is the first (and only) update
available, but with my old profile it affected all my extensions
(Adblock plus , noscript, and others) which was why I thought it may
have been a corrupt profile.
However, when you re-start firefox Tab Kit is disabled and did not
update. Tab kit does not update even if the system is re-booted. If you
then remove Tab Kit it is removed just fine. But when you go to re-
install again it does not install the most recent update.
This does not seem to be a problem with Tab Kit as it updates just fine
in Fedora 11 and Windows, both using firefox 3.5.3
