Several similar bug reports exist, but none with the same architrecture
(x86_64), hardware, driver combination. Marking as a duplicate to Bug
#421367, since that seems to be the closest (most appropriate) choice.
Summary:
Dell Latitude E6500 with 4GB RAM, Intel Core Duo running Ubuntu Karmic x86_64
(amd64). System enters standby and hibernation states without any (obvious)
errors occurring. The system also "wakes" from either state
(standby/hibernate) without any obvious issues -- eg, wifi continues to work,
no weird graphic issues, etc.
However, when resuming -- occasionally when resuming from standby, but
*always* when resuming from hibernation -- the "yellow crash indicator
icon" appears in the notification area. Forwarding Apport crash info;
this might be a dupe of another bug, but it's difficult to tell.
(Various bugs exist that seem to indicate an issue with an Nvidia card
-- this laptop did not come with the Nvidia graphics option installed.
Similarly, other bugs list issues stemming from i386 builds of Karmic,
other laptops/hardware, etc.)
As mentioned above, some quick investigation seems (to me) to suggest
that this is a dupe (or at least related) to Bug #421367. Marking it as
such.
