This printer needs its firmware uploaded to it everytime it is turned
on. As it has only a USB connector built in, the drivers for this
printer come only with USB-based solutions to automatically load the
firmware. The possibility to connect this printer via a print server box
was not taken into account.

Once the firmware is loaded to the printer, it works with the foo2zjs
and the HPLIP drivers. Note that for the latter you also need a
proprietary driver plugin. This plugin you can automatically install by
running

sudo hp-plugin -i

in a shell.

How did you assure that the firmware is always loaded to the printer?
