Hi Adil,

Sorry about the delay, but things happen.

I have been trying out Skype 2.1 Beta, which uses the pulse audio
server. Clean install on Ubuntu 8.04.3 resulted in video as we use v4l1
but no sound as try as I could, I couldn't get Ubuntu settings to work
with skype settings. The audio setting in Skype 2.1 doesn't seem to
offer any choice, whereas previous you could select different settings
which I had to do to get everything working. Next up was Jaunty ( I
don't bother with Intrepid any more). This time no sound or video as
v4l2 presumably still not supported. My third effort was a clean install
of karmic alpha 5 and sound worked straight away without any tweaking,
but the video still requires the work around of pre loading the v4l1
driver. Cheese works well with v4l2 ( Intrepid, Jaunty and Karmic) but
skype is still a problem
