Please attach /var/log/installer/syslog and /var/log/installer/partman
from after this installation; I can't debug this without those log
files.
GRUB installation can be adjusted using the Advanced button on the
summary page. It doesn't ask because this rarely loses any data; I'm
quite sure your install on (sd1) is still there, and you just need to
configure GRUB to boot it.
