Public bug reported:
When I booted (2.6.31-10-generic #33~lesswatts1-Ubuntu, 2.6.31.10.21,
Karmic) for the first time, and subsequently, networking did not
function properly (dmesg said the link was not up, dhclient could not
get a lease), sreadahead was pegged at 100%, and the mouse lagged (even
after killing sreadahead). dmesg showed some traces that suggesting
booting with irqpoll might help. Doing so made all of the afore
mentioned problems go away.
This occurred on a Dell OptiPlex GX270.
