The bug you are talking about is already in the package in the archive. So, that obviously (!) is a separate issue from this one. Furthermore, your line of reason applies to all other wordpress bugs as well. They need to fix the copyright issue, too, before they can make any new uploads of the wordpress package (or perpetuate the copyright-issue ridden state). So, please, go ahead and do what you did here in every other wordpress ticket on launchpad as well! Nobody is proposing an upload, yet. Your initial hint has been duly noted and appreciated. OTOH, your subsequent failure to see this for what it is, an independent issue that can and should be independently fixed, is a distraction and unwelcome. That would be no different in Debian or Ubuntu.
