Adobe still has not released a final 64 bit version of Flash. There
have been security updates to their 32 bit flash player which have not
had corresponding upgrades for the 64 bit version.
It is my considered observation that this is a security threat that
users are not being informed of when they install the beta version of
flash.
If there is a way to run the 32 bit version I think that would be
preferred or one of the open source flash players instead.
How this issue is determined in Karmic will determine whether I will
move back to the 32 bit architecture or continue with the 64 bit.
I am always hopeful that the open source versions will mature to a
usability point where I can leave the adobe plugins for good.
