I've run a system with the recommended minimum ram of 384 for live cd.
Using mem=384M as recommended by cjwatson.
The system is slow but usable.
Fire fox is a killer

Matt what would help me is to know how you got you results so I can get a real
metric with yours. I will chase this up with you tomorrow though and some
fresh tests.
