This does not appear to be a duplicate of #420225
That bug is about twinview, and the problem there is that twinview pretends
that 2 monitors are one huge workspace (which causes problems with maximised
windows as well). This bug is about 2 displays that are behaving properly, the
splash is displayed correctly on one screen, but on the other just a series of
horizontal lines, which appear to be the edge of the background image is
displayed across the screen.
