Binary package hint: usb-creator
Given that USB booting is hit or miss as it is, we should support disks
that have a vfat filesystem spanning them, rather than just disks that
have a partition table with a vfat partition. Currently, usb-creator
flags disks without partitions as needing to be formatted.
Initial tests show that at least some BIOSes support booting from a
device without a partition table.
The format button will continue to create a partition table and single
vfat partition, as the largest subset of BIOSes seem to support that
configuration.
