Installation

Installed network-manager-gnome from edgy/main packages version 0.6.3-2.
OS: Ubuntu Edgy

Attempted to install as per Ubuntu documention on two new laptops, an IBM R60
and a HP something (friend of mine) both machines do not show icon in task bar
within Gnome Desktop.
Attempting to manually start (i.e from shell) $ nm-applet, results in
no response. No error messages, No crashing, just nothing. Checked all
previous bugs via launchpad and spoke to ubuntu folk on IRC but problem
still remains.
