I too am using a Dell XPS M1330 machine and the SD card reader is no
longer working either - despite being fully functional in all previous
stable releases.

dmesg | grep SD

[ 7.012962] mmc0: SDHCI controller on PCI [0000:03:01.1] using DMA
[ 408.671991] process `skype' is using obsolete setsockopt SO_BSDCOMPAT
[16358.683486] mmc0: new high speed SD card at address 8fe4
[16358.815499] mmcblk0: mmc0:8fe4 SD02G 1.84 GiB
[16421.751593] mmc0: new high speed SD card at address 8fe4
[16421.752382] mmcblk0: mmc0:8fe4 SD02G 1.84 GiB

As you can see, the card reader has been detected but for some reason is
not mounting.

Let me know if I can provide any more useful information that would help
fix this bug.
