Public bug reported:

After initial startup of Evolution email program that came with the
Ubuntu 9.4, my SMTP messages couldn't be sent (lacked a password for
authentication).  I think I need to go back to edit this, and the help
menu suggests clicking Edit>Preferences>mail account to access the
settings options.  My menu for edit> preferences lacks subsequent
elections and clicking  only brings up a simple dialogue for font, no
other tabs or options.  What to do?
