OK, hopefully this bug has been fixed in the latest development version
of Inkscape. I can't reproduce it, and it sounds like the problem has
gone away for you too, so I'll close the report. Please reopen it if
the problem reappears, and don't hesitate to submit bug reports in the
future. To reopen the bug report you can click on the current status,
under the Status column, and change the Status back to "New". Thanks
