Right, I've reverted the configuration change present in the 0.9.17 packages due to many people experiencing the "PCM set to zero" bug, which is more severe, impacting, and likely to confuse new users. The subset of users experiencing this particular bug (in this bug report) are much smaller and tend to be technically comfortable adjusting configuration files.
