Hi Chris I installed Karmic 6 in VirtualBox OSE, updated it with Update Manager then installed OOo Base using the new Software Store.
The version is openoffice.org-core 1:3.1.1-1ubuntu2 Fri Sep 4 15:36 UTC 2009 It still exhibits this bug when sending a Base report as a PDF file, but not if it is sending the same report saved as a Text file. For what it is worth, the same build (3.1.1 ooo310m19 (Build 9420)) in Windows XP has the same problem. The error message appears as soon as the 'Report as PDF attachment' option is taken . When sending a Text file, the 'PDF Options' dialog appears when the 'Report as PDF attachment' option is taken, and before the program calls the email app. Hope this helps.
