I was having this problem, which makes Konsole useless because you enter a command and the screen does not repaint.
Fortunately, the workaround http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3104514.0 does seem to fix the issue. However, the jury is still out on whether I'm getting usability problems with viewing large directory trees in Konqueror or using kdesvn.
