Well, I'm not sure if I've understood your problems.
Is it that you don't like the cube-switching workspaces? If it's that,
then I think that's not really a bug. You can just unmark the
"workspaces in a cube" option in desktop-effects when launching compiz.
If it's not that, please, try to be a little clearer. I'm not an English
speaker ;)
