[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -l /vmlinuz ls: /vmlinuz: No such file or directory 'sudo update-initramfs -u -k all' worked so I changed the udev.postinst script (on my system) and then 'dpkg-reconfigure udev' worked. I have no clue, really but it appears that symlink is causing the problem. My bootsplash now works properly-- it didn't before. --Matthew -- [feisty AMD64] 'dpkg-reconfigure udev' gives error about update-initramfs https://launchpad.net/bugs/84094 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
