I using Ubuntu Jaunty on Toshiba nb205 (which have the same sound bug).

Using the kernel from post #117 fixes the sound problem for me (from speakers 
and headphones), but i didnt test (yet) the microphone (since i dont use it).
In my /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, everything is in default (there's no 
"model=" or something).

I just think that the sound is low (actually, is more like "ambient
sound" in the highest volume), but i cant say it's a patch problem
because i didnt test the sound in other systems (Ubuntu is my number
one) =)

This patch should be made upstream for Karmic.
