I don't beleve this bug is a duplicate of #430542
I have tested now with a fstab based on /dev/mapper/ devices and a
root=/dev/mapper...
cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-10-generic root=/dev/mapper/rootvg-root64 ro
resume=/dev/mapper/rootvg-swap
coresponding fstab is allso attatched.
