OpenOffice 3.1.1 in Ubuntu 9.10 with all updates as of 2009-09-23, displays scattered text with the following docx document from microsoft.com and then crash when closing. It then continues and tries to recover the document, but no document is displayed in the list of files to be recovered. http://research.microsoft.com/pubs/80367/TR.docx Also attached are screenshots of how OpenOffice tries to render the document, and how it tries to recover the document after closure.
