Rhythymbox doesn't play audio cds in a clean installation.
Trying to play gives the message 'No URI handler implemented for "cdda"'
Even with the restricted extras installed, cds fail to play.
Totem also cannot play audio cds (or dvds for that matter... even with
libdvdcss2)
Amarok14 is able play the cds fine, causing me to think it is something wrong
with the gstreamer.
