Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gaim-encryption

The current gaim-encryption doesn't work with gaim 2.0b6. It crashes if
you want to use it in a conversation. (see also bug #84282).

Rebuilding the current package stops the crashing but it is still not usable
("hangs" on the key exchange).
The reason for this is a change in the protocol identifier between gaim 2.0b5
and gaim 2.0b6 (prpl-oscar is now split into prpl-icq and prpl-aim).
gaim-encryption still uses the old one.

gaim-encryption 3.0beta8 fixes it only partially (at least for me). It
supports now prpl-aim but doesn't support prpl-icq yet. I had to replace
the remaining uses of prpl-oscar with prpl-icq to get it working for me.
